Casting has begun for
"Low Down", a biker movie that will be filming in Wilmington, Leland and
Winnabow areas (possibly a Spartanburg shoot date as well).
Looking for several supporting roles to be filled.
Preacher, white male, 45 to 55, his name may be Preacher but he would be the first to start a fight.
Outlaw, white male, 30 to 50, he's the renegade.
Sonny, male, 25 to 45, can't decide if he wants to be in the gang.
Sheriff, male, 45 to 60, he runs the town, a bit of a "Boss Hog" style.
Cherry, white female, 25 to 35, girlfriend of Sonny.
Skillz, african american male, 30s, a pool hustler and con artist.
There are several roles for "biker chick" females 20's to 30's.
There are several roles for biker looking males, all ages.
You do not have to ride or own a motorcycle but that would be a plus as you would have more screen time riding.

Casting Notice: "Johnny Awful" Short (Chapel Hill)
The short film Johnny Awful is now casting lead, supporting, and featured extra roles!
To set up an audition:
- Read the audition packet to find out more about the film, and the roles available.
- E-mail the casting director or fill out the casting form with your availability between 9 and 4 on January 21st to schedule an audition.
Film Summary
Johnny Awful is a short film about rock and roll, lies, death, burning bridges, hoaxes, manipulation, and the fleeting nature of fame. It's a comedy. The film taps into the world of unsigned bands, the mythology of dead rock stars, and the problems that come with an entitlement mentality.They're looking for talented, enthusiastic actors with a professional work ethic to help us bring this story alive on the big screen. They might be looking for you.
Full quality footage of select scenes will be made available to the cast for use in acting reels upon completion of the film. Here is a sample of there previous work.

Leading Roles
JOHNNY (lead singer / guitarist-25-30) is charismatic, narcissistic, and full of rock and roll attitude. Extremely unreliable, but somehow nothing is ever his fault. His favorite thing about the band is himself.FRANK (bass-25-30) is driven, detail oriented, and wants things to be done right. Tries to run the band like a business, which is hard when he can't rely on the lead singer
DAVE (drums-25-30) tries not to get involved in band politics. A long time friend of Frank's, he really just wants to play music and avoid all the drama.
Supporting / Featured Extra Roles
LISA (mother of Timmy) is a suburban housewife who regrets, in every way, her decision to sign her son up for electric guitar lessons with Johnny.TIMMY (son of Lisa) is a young boy (5-10 years old) who idolizes Johnny and aspires to be a rock star despite a complete lack of aptitude or promise.
BAND BRO (friend of Johnny) is an aspiring rocker, currently henpecked by his bridezilla of a sister, whose wedding reception he is supposed to play.
BRIDEZILLA (sister of Band Bro) the quintessentially high-strung bride to be, nears her breaking point when she finds that her brother doesn't have his guitar.
BAND BRO'S BANDMATES (two featured extra roles) are present when Bridezilla discovers that Band Bro doesn't have his guitar.
BICYCLE BOY (neighbor of Johnny) is a young boy (6-12 years old) whose beloved bike is stolen by the punk next door.
A&R REP (record label scout / middle-aged man) signs "Panda Rodeo," and makes his living squeezing every dime out of rock hopefuls.
RADIO DJ (male) avid rock-fan and band-follower who lives, sleeps, eats, and breathes the world of music news. Has a particular fondness for the late Tiny Tim.
MUSIC STORE CLERK (featured extra role) is a big "Panda Rodeo" fan, who proudly promotes the band in his store.
GIRL WITH THE "PANDA RODEO" RINGTONE (featured extra role) is a female trend-follower who catches the "Panda Rodeo" craze, but can't recognize Johnny when he passes her in the street.
